ABOUT
ME
Norwegian conductor Per Kristian Skalstad works regularly with all the major Norwegian orchestras. Since his debut as a conductor in 2002, he has done a large number of ballets, operas and symphonic concerts all over Norway, in Sweden, Germany and Austria, and on chamber orchestra tours to Denmark, England, Belgium, Russia and the US. In April last year, he made his Vienna debut, conducting the Vienna Chamber Orchestra in Theater an der Wien.
WORK
During 2026, Per Kristian Skalstad will frequently switch between conducting and violin playing. As a conductor, he will lead productions of ballet and opera in addition to a few symphony programs.

With the violin in his hands, his membership of the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra will occupy him quite alot.
